QEMMST.COM
(c) copyright 1993 by Padgett, all rights reserved
A fragment of this file was taken from the Quarterdeck Office
Systems QEMM API.
This small .COM file is included to check for QEMM "stealth"
since this feature will cause DiskSecure II to indicate a
"low interrupt vector" warning when either DiskSec2.exe
or DS2CHK.exe is run.
"Stealth" is a feature of QEMM386 version 6.0 and above that
permits memory mapping of the ROM areas of upper memory. Since
"stealth" can only provide upper RAM in the ROM areas if a
page frame is present, the amount of free high RAM is pretty
much a wash between "stealth" and NOEMS.
Quarterdeck provides APIs to determine if QEMM386 is loaded,
which version it is, and whether "stealth" is being used.
Accordingly the enclosed progam is included with DiskSecure II
for informational purposes. DiskSecuree II should not be installed
if QEMM386 "stealth" is in use.
Errorlevel return: major QEMM version level if found (works only
for version 6 up)
